Fight? Or Flight?
Make a choice. They are the only options left.
Let’s cut to the chase. We all know what Trump is doing. He creates the conditions with what was sure to bring people to the streets. Trump’s thugs are snatching people off the streets, in their workplaces, in their schools… anywhere and everywhere indiscriminately. They’re whisked away without the due process that’s guaranteed to the accused.
When the inevitable crowd forms, Trump labels it a riot. Of course, he arranges to add fuel to the fire so that people fight back against the manhandling. Then that disruption gives him an excuse to ignore the state law and unilaterally order the National Guard to the scene. When this is accomplished, it ratchets up the heat another notch.
Then the threat is clear. The Trump regime is prepared to send in the military to oppose American citizens. It’s all in the authoritarian playbook.
The government of the United States is at war with its own citizens.
The question is obvious. By choosing this path what is Trump attempting to accomplish? The regime and the MAGA Republican sycophants have triggered the fight or flight response.
Fight: Mobilization of Resistance: In some cases, the collective experience of oppression can galvanize communities to unite against the regime. The fight response may manifest in organized protests, civil disobedience, or underground movements.
Or
Flight: Fear-Induced Compliance: Conversely, the flight response may lead to compliance and submission, as individuals prioritize personal safety over collective action, fearing repercussions from the state.
Americans will choose. Doing nothing is a choice.
Is American democracy worth fighting for? Or not?

I don't know what others read or watch on TV. I don't see/read much mainstream media but when I go to pull up my email my computer goes through the Yahoo home page. I don't know if others do this also. I know much of what they show are based on their algorithms about what I am interested in, and I have seen stories saying things like the Dems are in disarray, and they are not very popular (of course while not mentioning all the victories the Dems are having in traditionally red areas like the recent election of a Dem to the Mayoralship of San Antonio). I wonder if it would encourage folks to opt for the fight (but I am still at the non violent protest stage) if they were more aware of success the Dems are having and actual legislation the Dems have proposed which has been shot down by the GOP Congress. I really appreciate Jessica Craven's Sunday Extra Extra editions as they remind us of many of the victories Dems are having. I would love to see the DNC become even more vocal and get the AP to report more and more on what we are doing and how the GOP is blocking those efforts, and to move on from Joe Biden (I do love the quote Biden covered up health concerns with four years of a booming economy).
Just what I was thinking. The DNC is busy trying to est its young. The old guys are nuts. The need David and Malcolm anf thousands more like them if they stand a chance in the future 👹
